Health and Wellness Programmes September – December 2019

 

Support Group – A monthly support group at Vita House for anyone whose life has been affected by a cancer diagnosis (past or present), can come along and offer their ideas on how we can support you in a group environment. Monday September 9th 11.30 am

Drop in for Men every Wednesday at 2pm starting in September- Having someone to listen to you is so important. We understand though, that sometimes it is difficult for people to express your feelings and problems with close family members. This is when our centre could help so just Drop-in.

Strides for Life Programme – This is a structured walking programme run over 16 weeks for individuals who are recovering from a cancer experience. Participant’s fitness levels are measured at regular intervals to assess metabolic improvement.
Beginning – Tuesday 3rd Sept 12pm-1pm (16 week course).

Meditation For Relaxation – Geraldine Byrne
Regular practice of relaxation techniques will assist you in relieving muscle tension, reduce anxiety and improve your overall well-being.
Beginning: Tuesday 17th Sept 7pm – 8pm (6 week course)

Yoga – Paula Sharkey
Gentle yoga to improve flexibility and increase strength.
Beginning: Thursday 19th Sept 7pm – 8pm (8 week course)

Art – Dav Dibbly
Enjoy painting in a relaxed and creative environment..Limited to 10 people. Booking essential. Tuesday 5th November 7pm – 8pm (6 week course)
