Any fundraising event makes a huge difference in helping us to achieve our mission of providing support for people along their cancer journey. We can’t continue without your help. There are lots of ways that you can fund-raise we’ll be with you every step of the way, giving you support, advice, and promotional materials to help you make your activity a success.

There are many different ways in which you or a group of friends can fund-raise:

  • Run 5 km,
  • Cycle
  • Tractor drive
  • Bike Drive
  • Girls Night In,
  • Parachute jump,
  • Bag pack
  • Come up with your own event,

The most important thing is we are here to help! So let the fun begin!

 

 

Become a Volunteer

 

The Role of the Volunteer 

The different roles of a Volunteer in Roscommon Cancer Care

  • Buddy Support System –
    Are you a Cancer Survivor? Would you like to give one-to-one support to newly diagnosed patients? Come along on the morning if you are interested in becoming a volunteer.
  • Helping our at events
  • Are you a trained therapist or retired therapist who would like to give back to a charity.

Confidentiality

Of critical importance to the integrity of Roscommon Cancer Care is confidentiality. Everything that is discussed in the Centre (with clients or with Centre personnel) is held in confidence.

The Support and Guidance and Volunteer Meetings

Support and Guidance will take place in small groups a number of times a year with the Support and Guidance designated person.  This will be organised by the Co-ordinator and is an essential requirement for being a Support Volunteer.
